Metaphor by Eve Merriam

        For the first time in this semester, we studied three very interesting and different poems: Glory by Yusef Komunyakaa , Metaphor by Eve Merriam, and The Wind-tapped like a tired Man by Emily Dickinson. Out of the three poems , I think that Metaphor is very lovely and thought-provoking . It provided me with a very inspiring and powerful reminder that I always forget when I feel hopeless about anything from time to time . It made me aware that no matter what happened in the past, we will always have more chances and new pages to fill later in our lives. There will always be a new day to make new discoveries, adventures, and beginnings .
